This coastal home was built after the war when William Bishop Sooley returned from duty in Europe.  The house was built alongside his father's house, the E.J. Sooley House.

Heart's Delight is a small quiet outport centrally located on the Baccalieu Trail, one of the four eastern Newfoundland tourist driving routes. The house, located on the cliffs of Trinty Bay, is typical of 1940's outport architecture and decor.  Nearby are the towns of Heart's Desire and Heart's Content, not far from the town of Cupids. The location is great for short road trips throughout the small coastal villages around Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula. The house is restored to a vintage rustic-luxe finish, with great beds, premium linens and a great ocean views. Tourist Driving Routes: Baccalieu Trail, Cape Shore Trail, Irish Loop.

"...What an incredible experience from start to finish - we only wish we could stay longer! From making the initial arrangements - Ken responded by email promptly and answered all our questions. To arrival - we were absolutely delighted by this little gem. Beautifully restored and surprisingly roomy, this house was perfect for our family of four plus the grandparents! It had absolutely everything we needed. The beds were super comfy. What an exceptional view. We could not have asked for more. But we got more - a kitchen party to boot! Jerry and the band and some friendly neighbours - dancing to music in our kitchen until the wee hours. We did not expect such fun. Although we did not take one of the cultural tours - I recommend it - these people at CapeRace know how to plan an adventure. Elizabeth was an exceptional hostess and was absolutely key to making our stay special. She greeted us with smiles and homemade goodies and her thoughtfulness was very much appreciated. Saying goodbye really felt like we were leaving family. See you next summer!..."
